Memories in your mind

Many a day is broken,
Many a day is burned,
Sacrificed by many as the day slowly turns.
And what do we reap right now,
Will the pain go away,
Surrounded by nothing till our dying day.
What’s the use of living,
Once the suns gone down,
We collect all our lives,
Only to throw it all away.
In the end you can’t take it with you,
No matter how you try,
As you get old you’ll learn lessons in life.
To clean out the closets,
Stop gathering all the dust,
It’s no use collecting way too much.
As once the curtains close,
You’ll have to give it all away,
Only to have the memories that are inside your heart.
Remember all your good times,
Don’t throw them away,
Keep them under lock and key in the fore front of your mind.
That’s the only thing worth keeping the rest is history.
You’ll never take the sentimentals with you,
Unless you carry them in your heart.
They’re only material possessions,
That you need not hold on to,
The ones to keep the closest,
Are the memoires you will treasure for always.
