Desire has taken its toll
Upon you
No matter what you do
Pain will never seem to ease
The words continue to tease

Restricted by chains
Battered with constant pains
Locked behind the cellar door
Your heart bruised and sore
Refusing to let your soul free
Unwilling to see
Theres no one outside the door
To pick up the pieces off the floor

Little one wake up from your dream
No matter how tempting it may seem
To stay in your dream-like state
Its gotten very late
The one you love is no longer here
Which is what you fear
Which you refuse to realize
I can hear your distant cries
