not one word
of it.

i don’t know
why she wrote it.

i’m certainly
not that interesting.

my conversational skills
are non-existant.

i am not
a fascinating guy.

anyway,
if you happen to read her article,
what’ll tip you off
that it’s made up
is the fact
that i couldn’t care less
about the current state
of anyone’s literature
and wouldn’t be caught dead
talking about it.

so, to you, ma’am –
the next time
you feel the need
to write about
us
having an imaginary conversation
and imaginary drinks…
