Hibernating in my own mind,

I remember the day I met her
for the very first time ,
we were meant to be together
there was'nt a doubt in my mind.

When I am with her I thought Iam blessed,
My heart floated with joy like a ship.
But as Shakespeare said,
there is flattery in Friendship.

For now though I am alone
half dead with a shell,
Broken like a glass toy
laid upon the shelf.

Hibernating in my own mind,
a long forgotten self.
But, still waiting for a hand
which I could hold myself.

Among my friends trustworthy are very few,
I would never wish any companion but you....
