If you want to be the same as me
Don't demand a velvet glove.
I don't expect it for myself,
Not even from those I love.

If you choose to call me "white"
Then I may call you "black"
Any favor you pay to me
Is only fair to be paid back.

Respect is not to be given
Because of the color of your skin
Nor due to the shape of your torso
The determinant lies within.

To be fair, you've been oppressed,
But for that, I bear no blame,
To hold a grudge against me
Is yet the greater shame.

To be truly politically correct, the adjectives used to qualify different people should not be so used. We're all people, no matter of gender, race, creed, nationality, or any other category into which we choose to put each other.
