Surrender

I close my eyes every night,
Hoping for my angel’s sight
The vision of my heart’s eyes,
Is a lady, demure and shy.
I rub my eyes in disbelief,
Staring at love’s motif
Is it just a painful mirage?
Desire and despair’s mélange.
I reach out with my palm,
Her slender fingers stay calm
She holds my hand oh so gently,
Drawing it near her intently.
I feel her heart, beating fast,
Sounds of a love so vast
Sweet scent of a blossoming rose,
Her slender body does propose.
I caress the softness of her arms,
Oh, love’s most powerful charms
To this mighty goddess I surrender,
My woman’s love in all it’s splendor.
