If I stood before you, like a foolish girl with no pride
I'd beg of you please love me,for I need you by my side
My tears would know your skin,as I brushed against your face
But if you would only love me,then my sorrow you'd replace
With happiness and hope, and new faith in love again
This girl could only smile, for no more would there be pain
If I laid beside you, within the safety of your love
My dreams would all come true, you're all I'm dreaming of
If I could breathe so near you, share your sunrise and your stars
Heaven would be here on earth,my paradise, you are.....

Last night,I laid beside you, snuggled into you so close
But in the morn' I held a pillow...
Was just a dream, I suppose
Today I stood before you, hoping you would hear
But I spoke only to your image....
That reflects in every tear

If I had it in me,I would keep with me my pride
But If I stood before you,my feelings could not hide
Every night I'll go on snuggling, wishing you were here
Whispering my love, as in dreams you appear

If only...
