i tell myself
i will admit

tell myself to tell someone
to let them know
what i have done

all they want
is to help me out
but all i can do
is to scream and to shout

they say, quiting now
is the best thing for me
and letting them down
isn't helping my plea

so everynight
as im falling asleep
i think to myself
this promise ill keep

but still everyday
they walk in on me drinking
and still everyday
i fall asleep thinking

this has to end now
so sick of this lie
please tell me you'll help
i promise i'll try
