My whimsical delight.
So illustrious, yet so obscure.
My innocent whore.
She teases me with her seductive nature,
yet she is so pure.
Her nurture is endless.
The ripe fruit of her bounty is plentiful.
I am swept up in the rapture of her delicate essence.
I am tantalized by her provocative allure.
Like a muse with a spell to enchant my heart,
this siren in my mind sings to me again,
reminding me of her presence,
blinding me with her elusive beauty,
which is veiled by an interwoven fabric of lies.
Her song is carried on a breath of air.
The tune subdues me and seduces my ear.
Her music bleeds deep into my weathering soul.
melancholy seeps into the pathetic hole
that is my existence.
I recant each breath, as regret reaps the harvest of my bitter insignifigance.
Yet still, time is pillaging whats left of my innocence.
Years lost...
in the infinite abyss of eternity...
No doubt that the world has forged it's indelible mark upon the deteriorating,
and gradually eroding skin of my fragile soul.
Leaving me as just a flightless bird,
a flacid, shell of what i once was,
a shadow wandering without purpose
through the shattered night,
on this spinning block of rock and coal,
desperately clinging to some shreds of hope,
blowing in a breeze or discontentment and complacency.
Confined to the sublime clutches of time,
searching no man's land for some kind of better me,
deep into the dark stretches of my mind,
only to find that there's no man I could be,
that will not be left behind.
