I lost my dear Dane "OLLIE" whom we all loved,... oh so much
I miss his long wet sloppery kiss, I miss we cannot touch...
I miss his puffs and panting, as he laydown by my feet
As he waited very patiently... for me, my poems to complete

I miss his very waggly tail, his soft stare into my eyes
I miss his great big ploddy paws so HUGE just like his size....
I miss how he would protect me, on our long walks thru the park
Just a stare would do the trick, he'd no need to loudly bark

I missed him so much and so badly that when far "UP NORTH" a kennels we did visit
I saw they bred young boxers pups and there was one still in it
The man he handed me the little pup, whom looked into my eyes
I saw the look that "OLLIE" once gave tho now above in sky

I couldn't hand the puppy back, and so home with me he came
He sat quietly for 3 hours or more,.... relaxed and oh so tame
Then my mind it wandered back back then ... to when "OLLIE" was a pup
The tears rolled down my face in floods until Malc he asked "whats up?"

We've named our puppy TYSON you would love him if you saw
So cute so tiny little pup with tiny little paws
Big brown eyes that show you his love, his trust and loyalty too
Relying on us to keep him safe and show him what to do ....

He wont replace my "OLIVER" no dog could ever do
But I know my "Ollie" would approve and so would all of you ...
Well I thought I'd share my story, of my new sweet little pup
So now I'll go and feed him so hes a little more full up!
