under skies of falling stars and acid rain

where virus and mental sickness

seep in to even the pain

of death caused by mortal man

no time for the living
the dead are choking
the peace was ravaged
and divinity melted away

to the grains of sand
that will be all dry in two million years

thank god for these four billion years or so
just enough love to start the world living

I say it's to the dying thoughts of a higher place
we have so overwhelming denied
except for when we are in church
and still not doing that right

I say to the love people preach about
but obviously don't appreciate

It's to time running out
as all things rotate
until gravity shifts
