I reached for your hands and I missed again.
I looked into your eyes just as you turned away,
Missed you by a second in the fray.

Words to tell you danced upon my lips,
Just as you pull away, the moment slips
In between our fingers, ever so lost.
Yet another day, the heart’s greater cost.

We’ll never see those moments of “almost”
Until we look back through each other's eyes.
And discover the sweetness
That within those silences lied.
Alas, completeness is what we find.

The feeling of incompleteness is sent.
