The Siege of Mind

I’m breathing rapidly,
Unable to catch that vital breath,
My eyes blur,
My heart,
It hurts,
Pounding the walls of my chest,
Night falls around me,
A heavy blanket of loss and failure,
Suddenly I find myself,
Thrown into a well,
Demons haunt me
poke me
tease me,
I soon become their hostage,
Shackled in dungeons of self revulsion,
And my long-standing mentality,
Slowly begins to crumble under heavy fire,
No colour graces my face,
No smile, warms my heart,
My once bright mind burns out,
And no warm hand, reaches out,
No Torch,
To burn out these shadows that shroud around me,
Soon,
I find myself repeating,
I find myself repeating,
I find myself…
****** up,
Keep it going,
I have too,
I ******* have too,
Start Again,
I scrunch my fist till it bleeds,
Make sure my hands are clean…
Red, Raw, Bloody Clean.
Make sure,
Wash more,
But Light Will Come Eventually…
light will come eventually.
