The Music Will Wash Tears Away

I've been hanging on the wire of desire,
Praying for a dream that can't come true,
This week has shown me all my flaws,
I must be strong and good to break through,
I've thought of me so selfishly,
Without once showing myself some love,
I realise now I have to change,
Chasing rainbows just isn't enough.

I feel alone when I'm on my own,
Just got used to good company,
But I really should just work on it,
And enjoy life for being me,
So thanks to all the friends that say,
The music will wash fears away,
And sunshine will bring warmer days,
And showers soak my tears away.

I miss my girls, I miss the sea,
I miss the funny, happy me,
But like a ball I'm bouncing back,
I know the score, I've got the knack.
It's time to kick back, soak up life,
And wait to meet my future wife,
But I'll be patient that's for real,
And enjoy moments that I feel.
