A Place For Us Date: Tuesday, 1st August 2006 @ 07:07:46 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry Contributed By: Gentlemanpoet A place for us beyond the stars, and leave our tears behind. Hand in hand we’ll walk on clouds, joy we both shall find. No criminals or prisons there, no prejudice or hate. A land where only love endures, this will be our fate. All the scars and pain we have, we’ll cast them all aside. And spread our wings from on that shore, upon the winds we’ll ride. Like eagles soaring in the sky, and floating on a breeze. Above the earth we both shall fly, and well beyond the trees. This place where walls are made with gems and streets are lined with gold. Forever young we both shall stay, time can’t make us old. No pollution over there, the waters sweet and pure. This perfect place for us to live, no ills for us to cure. A grand reunion in the sky, with loved ones long since passed.
