Your Blood

Upon seeing the bane of existence,
Pulsing out from under imperfect flesh,
Never have I felt as though my eyes should be blinded,
As though my stomach had been knotted,
Nor as though that same liquid that courses through me,
Was slowly poluting my body with cold.
But it wasn't until today,
When ever so calmly,
You captured my attention,
Stained fingers exposed,
For only me.
Upon seeing your bane of existence,
Pulsing out from under such very perfect flesh,
I felt as though I should look away from where my eyes were transfixed,
As though my stomach was being kneaded like dough,
And as though my far less valuable life source,
Was boiling me to death.
I had never before seen blood so bright,
Nor so beautiful.
