The Kiss

The kiss was sweetest ever tasted
but after that it was sour.
Our love seems to be flawlessly wasted
so in another love I did cower.
Every poem I wrote had become lamented
and gifts from you a horrid memory.
This new love is equally regretted,
since she isn't who I want to see.
I held her always, always in my heart
only to get left in the rain.
She left my soul torn apart
and the other can't cure the pain.
