I try to hide it,
Face the enemy.
Pain over pain,
Inside and out.

Will the Lord forgive me?
I cannot stop.
The pain thickens,
Red is seen everywhere.

The pain inside,
Is burning my soul.
The pain out,
I can direct.

Ask the Lord for forgiveness.
Would He take pity?
Open the heavens,
For a broken soul?

I shall think not.
Down to the darkness,
The flames down below.
To burn my already burnt soul.

Wake up from nightmares.
Realize and change,
But it is too late.
Leftover soul be gone.

Burnt

I try to hide it,
Face the enemy.
Pain over pain,
Inside and out.

Will the Lord forgive me?
I cannot stop.
The pain thickens,
Red is seen everywhere.

The pain inside,
Is burning my soul.
The pain out,
I can direct.

Ask the Lord for forgiveness.
Would He take pity?
Open the heavens,
For a broken soul?

I shall think not.
Down to the darkness,
The flames down below.
To burn my already burnt soul.

Wake up from nightmares.
Realize and change,
But it is too late.
Leftover soul be gone.
