Screaming On Deaf Ears, Reasoning With Closed Minds

Is this exactly what you want?
Is this how you planned it out to be?
Is this what you call motherhood?
The suffocating of your child that is me
You know very well you have the upper hand
You inherit all the power and get all the glory
And chose to take mine away
From my standpoint thats the word for word story
I tried, I came back here, didn't I?
Some things you just can't let go
Others you are too close minded to understand
When you see me: only the age shows?
None of the inside
None of the personality?
Just a two digit number
Thats all you see in me?
You let go of just a little something
Only to snatch it back up
I was that little someing
But I'm not so little any more
I'm not the same innocent girl
I'm the one running out the door
Running away
From you and all your rules
Every teen goes through it
Why the hell not me?
I'm no different, in your opinion
I say, don't look at age
But you are so close minded you only see logic
You only see an underage thinker, not riding
In cars with "boys" not going anywhere "big and scary"
In fear of getting hurt or broken
What you put this girl through
Has led me to these words spoken:
What will you do when I'm "all grown up"?
What will you do when: I run away, yet again?
Its bound to happen I'm on the edge
You single handedly put me there, you seem
To be the only problem, although you shape me
To be a thick skinned run away, the one ducking in the ditch
The one begging not to be seen, the cops are farmiliar
With one beautiful face, one signature trace
I'll just swallow the rest of my meaningful words
That you wouldn't hear anyways
You are not only close minded but have no ears
I know who I am
Do you?
