Stormy Dreams

Snuggled up and cosy with a book before the fire
I lie within the comfort of most that I desire
A box of chocolates before me,a Baileys Irish Cream
Closing my eyes to the crackling fire
I drift away and dream.....
Not asleep yet so relaxed
My thoughts come soft and warm
As just outside my window
I can hear the thunderstorm
Raindrops kiss the window pane
I imagine them trickling down
Tears trailing the wintered glass
Falling softly without sound
Winters breath sings through the trees
Branches sway in freedoms dance
Rejoicing just as lovers do
When each others lives they enhance
Snuggled here contentedly
In this dreamy room of warmth
I close my eyes and drift away
To sleep within the storm
