Tearing the Page
Date: Thursday, 1st December 2005 @ 04:06:32 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry
Contributed By: Freak-of-the-Week
you and I tear in two
like all papers do
a page from a storybook --
(by me and by you)
then we're burnt with the trash
left cold in the ash
'til we're broken by wind --
(where we'll scatter and dash)
then we fly down the street
with our eyes to our feet
both walking alone,
like we never did meet.
