Goddess in the Shadows

Goddess of the shadows
Hiding within my dreams
Only about if the sun will allow
But she’s there to hear my screams
No broken heart to ail her
A bevy of lovers on a string
Golden warm like a fine liqueur
She oblivious to life’s painful stings
Long, lithe, graceful subject
She’s beautiful to watch
Without a flaw, she is perfect
And I want her back so much
Fallen from skies above
Whispering Diana, huntress in the night
Skillful player of love
Why do you hide from the light?
Strong and majestic in stance
If you happen to see her.
It used to be me that would dance
When did our lives transfer?
Tempting from within the gloom
Beauty’s hidden deep inside
Don’t shut the door on the tomb
Because the Goddess within has not yet died.
