I'm following in the foot steps of despair
I've become an addict of tragedy

my striving for something has made me a slave
nothing shall even captivate me again
I shed no tears over my ill fate
I have not that many left to spare

I'm burning with heartache
these steps I've taken forward have made me plunge
I cannot sleep easy on this night
work shall take eternity to finish

cold sweat in a land of my own creation
devoid of darkness and pain
free of the filth of humanity
these barriers will not break so easily

save me from my inner self
my mind has been handicapped with life
with each drab day I lose myself

Childhood dreams fading into blackness
a monument of half accomplished goals set before me
I'm following in the foot steps of despair
I've become an addict of tragedy
