my Asian "neighbors" -they
do not see me.
the children in the street:
they do not hear me.
The dogs next door:
they do not smell me.
Only the night,
the sincere element ,
envelops my cuticles, tastes me.
seeps through my pores like liquid,
this seems trivial,
yet fleeting experience making me more of Me than
anyone else ever could.
and above the Smog and the smoke and the soot and
the holes in the ozone layer,
The stars are all of a dither
In the soul
of the midnight kerfuffle.
