Sad Indeed

A lonely life is sad indeed,
For love is what I truely need,
Ignored by men left and right,
Crying myself to sleep every night,
I just want someone to care,
I just want someone to be there,
20 years of loneliness is enough,
Every day is tiresome and rough,
Never been on a date, or to a dance,
Never been asked out, or given a chance,
I suppose I do not exist,
So along this sad and lonely life I shall drift,
Will any man ever care?
Will any man ever dare
To break through my chains that bind,
My heart, soul and mind?
They have been built up day after day,
Year after year,
It's always been the same way,
Lonely all the time, my only companion is a tear,
I long for a love to call my own,
The kind of love I have never known.
