In a land so dead and stale,
There once was a girl,
Who was well hidden and frail.

She was the Princess of Darkness,
Who was awaiting death's grip,
Since she beheld the dagger,
In the sheath upon her hip.

But yet there was her savior,
The one for which her tears were shed,
He was killed long ago,
He's the reason she now bled.

She went to his gravestone,
And chiseled her name,
Without him she was nothing,
She was no longer the same.

For this Princess of Darkness,
Was looking for the truth,
Her savior had died,
Whilst still in his youth.

Wanting to be buried along by his side,
She left a blood stained note,
With her final goodbyes,
Those intricate details are what she wrote.

"I loved him forever,
Yet he is no more,
I want to see Hell's Gates,
That's what for me is in store.

Do not grieve internally,
For my death is well bestowed,
I once was a daughter,
Who was forever disowned.

Now it is my turn to disown this cruel world,
You had no chance of saving me,
For my savior whom lays here six feet under,
Was the only one for who I would breathe.

Yet you people killed him,
He couldn't take it anymore,
All the battles he fought for you,
Opened up deaths door.

With this fateful dagger,
Which I shall jab in my heart,
I'll no longer be here,
When you wake with a start.

It is like Shakespeare's story,
The one which you shall all know,
The star crossed lovers death,
I am now like Juliet without her Romeo.

And now as you read this,
I shall have taken my last breath,
My Romeo and I are together,
Together in death."

This happened long ago dear ones,
It's the only time you'll see,
The Princess of Darkness has taken her last stand,
Since that Princess is none other than me. [comments] => 10 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Brandyx7 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

This poem is amazing! I was thinking of Romeo and Juliet RIGHT before I got to that line in the poem, and the ending was with a twist. I love this!
