Array ( [sid] => 98508 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The rocky road of life [time] => 2005-06-18 17:21:04 [hometext] => Are you tired of crying, Being sad everyday, Do you want to give up on life, Well there is a better way, WE all walk on rocky roads.. [bodytext] => I thought all I had to do was accept Jesus in my heart,
Know that when I die, I would go to heaven, and we would never part.
There is a road to walk down on,
A road so far and yet is is so hard to stay on,
A guide line written in the bible, but yet is much stronger he places within your heart,
A pulling of his spirit that tugs you even in the dark.
A go sign, a stop sign
Tells you exactly,
Your decision which to take,
Some do it gladly.
A different way of life that attracts you and grabs you and never seems to let you go,
It is love from God above.
Directing you, pulling at you. giving you a chance,
A relationship that grows like a fine romance.
Boulders lay along the roadside,
They get in your way,
What will a person do when it comes, they say.
I want to end my life,
I want to get mad,
I am tired of living like this,
I am very sad.
But God is there holding out his hand,
Turns the light on and then he says.
Look to me my child,
Don't look to the left or right,
Look to me my child,
everything will be alright.
I find myself on this rocky road,
Sometimes there is a smooth path,
Then another rocky spot,
But He helps me because He done so in the past.
I sometimes get discouraged,
Oh do I feel sometimes blue,
Sometimes I am serious, I really don't know what to do.
Sometimes I thinking serving God should be perfect don't you agree.
But I am mistaken, He walked down this road before me.
He knows all the troubles I will get into,
He been there before,
He knows how I feel inside,
He knows how it feels to want to walk out of the door,
He knows my heart, When I want to disagree,
But one thing for sure,
He never gives up on me.
He takes me by the hand,
If only I ask,
He will never forsake me,
He never did in my past.
So I may travel down a rocky road,
Living for christ you see,
But he is walking along beside me.
