does she plead for tears with sunken eyes,
nor solemn cross does stand alone
and say that here a Mother lies
in peace beneath the peaceful skies.

But timeless trees with giant limbs
have spread their soothing shadows 'round
to make the scorching sunlight dim
about the greenness of the ground
and drop their leaves upon her mound.

Where over branches squirrels run
and through the leaves the ravens call..
while ripened in the autumn sun,
the acorns and the chestnuts fall..
and she will heed them one and all.

For her, this morning choir sings
it's melodies to where she lies..
where every lovely voice of spring
shall wash throughout the bluing skies..
Her pain, no more in echoed cries

But alas! The roots of all these trees
will find the prison where she lies
and bear her buried dust to feed
their leaves and blossoms to the skies-
So may her soul forever rise!

If anyone, on any day
should ask: "What lady lies below?"
I'll only say: "A tender bud
tried valiantly, but couldn't grow
and lies withered.. where the violets blow.

Brilliant tribute to a beloved. Reminds me of where my brother is buried. Trees and birds and trickling stream, cattle grazing over him. He tried so hard in his life, losing much until his death. We lay them to rest, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, until we meet in Heaven above. They stay with us in our hearts where we continue to remember and love till we meet again.

That was just a beautiful tribute to your mother, I am sure she is looking down on you now thinking what a wonderful son you are, and proud to be your angel above. I really do wish I got the chance to meet her. It saddens me that I didn't although I know she is watching over you and knows we are happy again.
I Love you
Nancy

bro,
i know how much this means to you, and to post it here for others to read indicates to me that your wounds are healing somewhat. i hope they are.
that aside, i am again at a loss of words at how extraordinarily talented a poet you are. i always give a chuckle after reading your work because it is sometimes difficult for me to to believe how great it is. it seems that every word was chosen perfectly.

great job bro,

love,

the wiz

Tears flood my eyes as I read ur write. I commend u on posting this my dear friend. I could just imagine how hard it would have been for you. One day u shall be united with ur loving Mother again Billy~, but for now she's always watching over u and has u under her beautiful gossamer white wings. She lives on inside ur beautiful heart. She's mighty proud of u as she smiles down at u from heaven.
*heartfelt hugs and much love to u*

Gentle and beautiful poet-

I don't know much, but without a doubt I know she
is proud of this, (and you).

Such a beautiful, albeit pained, tribute. Your painted words
explode with grace and beauty, love. A remembrance
like this is actually comforting though I know it is painfully sad.
Your love and compassion are most beguiling, sweetheart.

Humbled and always touched by your beauty and skill

~Breezy
