Tossing and turning
Waking up screaming bathed in sweat
Remembering the dreams
Black and feathers blinding light
And those eyes
And then just falling through it all
It was that dream again
The angel falling and
Drowning but I do not know where
I can’t sleep but the pills still in effect
Maybe if I can take a bath I could wake up
Let’s see cold or hot I guess warm
Turn it on and let it fill
But not to the top I don’t want it to spill out
Turn the water off and just lay back
And hope not to fall asleep
But I close my eyes and do
And its that dream again
Wake up spitting water out
Grab on and roll out of the tub
Spit out some more with a violent thrust
Try and stand and get a towel
And got dressed
I tried to go about my day
Like every other day
But every time I closed my eyes
Even if it was for a second
There where those feathers and those eyes
So the day was done
I went home and took some sleeping pills
I knew I could not afford to wake up again
Until I knew where she was
So I closed my eyes and fell asleep
And had that dream again
So vivid but so dad
Coz in it I drowned
But when I awoke I knew
She was in a cage
At the bottom of my grandfathers lake
Even if I do drown I have to know
If she is real
I just have to
So I drove four hours to my grandfather’s lake
And I dove in and swam till I lost my breath but I
