[hometext] => I wrote this after Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez died, if you don't know who she is, she was the rapper of TLC and by her words and life I have been encouraged to write. Her death was a big loss to the rap and hip hop world and the time that was wasted shall remain a regret to everyone who knew her.
God Bless You Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez May 1971- April 2002 [bodytext] => Left Eye Why did she, and more have to die? Don’t even try to console me Because her soul was set free Although we may believe that her voice was silenced But it wasn’t It was just quieted Waiting to explode the load of self expression and speech So far now, that she can’t be reached The words that were spoken Could never be bought with any token Just a token of appreciation A portion of our ears and participation But we didn’t listen to her But we listened to the media And we didn’t truly hear what she had to say Until it was too late Too late to debate Too late to negotiate What she did and how she lived To tell her how much she meant to us, to me Can’t make up for anything that was done And now it’s too late for everyone [comments] => 1 [counter] => 180 [topic] => 38 [informant] => RealCrystal [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Tributes )
