The heat residue
Builds up forcefully
Isolated tumors
Causing the blindness
The epidemic outbreak
Has begun to takeover...

The reality that stares you in the face
Speaks to you
And warns you
Of what will assuredly take place
Treat yourself kindly
And you can be saved
The adventure
Of a life-time
The adrenalin is
The drug we crave

First kisses and heartfelt wishes
Candle light picnics
What a romantic-
What a fanatic
No one can breathe the dirty air
All of us are
Asthmatics
It’s a simple case of mathamatics
When the looser wins the race
And the cake is eaten too
The devilish smile which graces
The next three miles
Your running shoes
Seem to be glued

To the ground you,
You are planted
To the sound
Your ear, stretches
The harmony that is found
In the pages,
Of the classics
The writers of the ages
And the composers
And the artists
While your sculptured face
Begins to rust
The restoration
Of the temple

The leader always leads
By example...

*applauds wildly*

Eeeesh - this is excellent! and how incredibly I envy you it! I spent a fair amount of time on this page... reading, re-reading, reading aloud... and I couldn't more thrilled for having discovered this. There is so much here that I'm impressed with... not the least of which is the fact that you didn't hand it to us entirely. (The 'general poetry' category seems, then, both perfect and entirely inadequate here.)

Fabulous write! I couldn't adequately describe how this captured my attention no matter how long I rambled on in an attempt to do as much.

Enjoying this immensely,
~Snemmy~
