do you think we'd even bother, or even really care?

Suitcases all around me, packed full of dirty deeds
a devil of denial; and on my soul he feeds

Marionettes pulling strings, dolls crying tears....
displays of joy and madness, and whispers of yet unspoken fears

The coach is calling out to me, but I don't wanna play
a dirty butt smoked---then discarded---left in a grubby ashtray

The whistle's blown, *head down in defeat*, this game is done
and oh yeah! Pssst! By the way; I think you know you won

I'm sorry; I just can't do this, I've shed too many tears
(and yet here you are....my heart silently cheers.)

Oh scorp, I am so familiar with these types of emotions (by now). It's so frustrating with the positives of a relationship don't make up for the negatives of what happens to you when it's just not... going on, but the positives are so addicting. :-/ Anyway you portrayed it wonderfully, so well that it certainly brought back those sorts of feelings in memory. Cheers! J.

Oh how well I know these games. I detest them. I think for some they become obsessive and enjoyable. I only enjoy truth in a relationship and have learned to accept nothing but. Games in love are for children. I quit a long time ago. Cold turkey. Powerful write.

Strength,
Rita

Very lovely and recognisably written. An relationship that really isnt going anywhere but is yet so comfortable, can be very consuming. Tho we know it isnt good for us but yet we stick around....
The miracles of love ma dear, it moves where ever it wants to go while we wish it didnt go there.

Wonderfully captured.

hugss,

Nats

First, see? I can do it too. Nanner nanner poo poo. I randomly chose an old one and picked this one because the title...just like the Foreigner song.

At least reading this it makes me feel not so weird. Yeah, I can so relate to the I just can't do this but then that damn heart silently cheering itself away. Damn heart!!!

Nice stuff here, Scorpendous One.
