I know
too well
what she has for you

and you ask me still
to believe in love
and kiss my weary tears

the distance between our bodies
has grown
even though
you still sleep next to me

your warm can only make me colder
when it's over
and I can't afford to die anymore

so leave me here
let me close-
leave the lights off
and the paper blank

because I'll fill it
but you won't like it
and yes, he'll read it

because he does that now
when you never would

how many times was I your muse?
tell the truth
none

but how many times
was I used
just to get you off?

so here's your chance
to run and hide
because hell don't know my fury

and here's my advice
a pill for you to swallow

The music has stopped
nothing stirs
except your memory
but you're not gone yet

I know
too well
what she has for you

and you ask me still
to believe in love

Wow, I have to admit that I've read most of your work and always enjoy it. But I've never come across something of yours that's so angry. I love it, beautifully written. I especially like the line "so here's your chance to run and hide because hell don't know my fury".

A change from the norm, I applaud.

This was good. I really feel like I relate to it right now. Relationships
begin to fade long before they end. And you may know it, but not
admit it. You did a good job putting emotion into this and I know I
want to read it again and again.

A very strong poem, my hat goes off to this one. All the emotions are wrapped carefully in well chosen words. Keep up the good writing!
