to what you said,
those years in reminisce...
often times I wonder
if it was ignorance in bliss

Take me back to the faded time
of greening wood and bluing sky...
back to a time when never
would I sit and wonder why

For comfort and security in things
are yet to come
if only I could get to where those things
are coming from...

I'll travel hard and travel deep
far to a place where hope and dreams
are such as things that we can keep

and to a time where I can stay
protected in the benevolence
of all my yesterday.

You have alot of love for the past! Don't we all?! It's great how you can write & describe your feelings so well!!! Little details can lead to big clues!!!! Cool poem!!!!!

woot, the biggest part that i liked in this were your rhymes. as you can probably tell by now i rather like rhymes... so whenever i see good ones i cannot help but like the piece. forced rhymes kill the piece on the other hand. ::shrugs:: you had none of those in this one, that is for sure. your second stanza was the best though. it had the best substance and rhymes. the good thing about your poems is that i dont really have to say what i dont like in them, because i usually like it all. ::still feels guilty for all the critical comments that i have made to everyone else::

A soft, delicate and determined longing
dwells between each line here, babe.

Your heart's songed plea is enchanting ..
and the road to where hope and dreams are
things we can keep, is one where love and
compassion is the guide.

lost within your words ~

~Breezy
