beneath the willow tree...
A tale of sorrow's saddened song,
sung for all like me.

The misty, early morning dew
is trampled underneath
the steps I've taken leave of you
but I will not bequeath
to any soul of friend or foe
of travels I have made...

and if you think, than say it so,
that happiness forbade
me destined to be all alone
in dowerless and doom;

undaunted by which I atone
and that which I assume...

A softer sun will not forget me
all the times we had...

beneath the willow so contently,
wallowing and sad. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Man_On_High [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Well, this sure pulls at the heartstrings. It is hard being alone but not impossible to handle. It is sad sometimes but there is so much in life that we can do to find happiness. We have free will, it is our decision to remain unhappy. Blessed be.

Your meter/ rhythem in this poem is excellant. It sounds like a song, a ballad. I like the scenery as well. Wonderful poem.

well ... good sir .. you have moved me to tears once more ..

I know there are many who can and DO relate to this
(more than should be, I fear). So beautifully sad, hun.

The last bit there actually made my heart weep .. so
painful .. but almost peaceful .. if that even makes
sense. The willow, so forlorn itself, brings a
comfort that not many know or could realize ..

I really love this. It's completely stunning.
