Which is good, ‘cause there’s so much you don’t know
Like the fact that every day I talk to you
I have to battle my soul, force myself to smile
That I constantly have to fight, every minute, every day,
To keep myself from sinking into depression…
That my happiest thought is bittersweet,
That I find my friends boring and the ones I love dull,
That I’m running away from them to escape
The monotony that isn’t their fault
That I don’t care about my grades, though I took such pride before,
That I don’t care about my weight
That nothing seems to matter anymore,
That I don’t eat enough,
That I don’t sleep enough,
That I live day to day
Just trying to hold on
To the reasons I construct
The reasons I construct to hold on…
That I’ve lost my reason to live
And I don’t know when it slipped away
And I don’t know where to start looking...
That my fears overwhelm me
In the night, when you sleep
That there’s and empty hole inside me
That the tears roll down my cheeks,
That I’m slowly going insane
That I’m slowly giving in
When you’re not looking
When you don’t see me
I can’t let you find out about my sins
Because what you don’t know can’t hurt you,
And there’s so much that you don’t know
Yeah, what you don’t know can’t hurt you
But by god, does it hurt me.

i've noticed that something outside yourself (love, God, CHOCOLATE, etc.) tends to cure depressions quite nicely... hold on to this someone, and be honest in person too.

There's no easy way out of depression, but hopely your writes help a little. Sometimes you just need to be alone and confront your emotions yourself...An open, honest poem....
