Array ( [sid] => 93756 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Give me peace, or death i will choose [time] => 2005-05-09 01:59:53 [hometext] => not really poetic, more of a rant but i needed to let it out [bodytext] => my heart always wishes for more
yet i sit lonesome
so painfully often
apart from my existence
where i don't belong

bleeding and lost
i wish i could mend the wounds
that scar my soul
all it would take
is for someone to hold me close
but that's too much to ask

i feel i have inherited more pain
from the world
than can be counted
and now i just feel broken
with the pain all mine
like the emptiness
that i inhabit alone

all i ask is someone
take my pain, if for just one night
and hold me, hold me to your heart
gather my misery to you and hug me tight

i have done my share
i have fought all the fights
and the years have gone by
and i still yet stand
with my blood as tears
and the arena floor
my daily life
have i not suffered enough?
i beg for mercy, give me peace or kill me swift
no more torture
no more strife
give me a love, some happiness,
or death i will choose
over this facade called life [comments] => 3 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 13 [informant] => socialmisfit [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

wow.
what an emotive write.
It is painful to merely read...
Re-opening old wounds and discovering antiquated emotions...re-living it is the worst part of all.
Regardless, I am moved by this piece.
Yet you must know...that things will pick up...
All the best oxox.
