while my fingers move over keys
Should be resting and not typing
as I cough and start to wheeze

Fever's pushin' one oh two
as yet another job looks wrong
Starting to get frustrated
jobsearch taking too damned long

For this job I'm too qualified
and for the next job not enough
Nerves are past their breaking point
don't be fooled, I'm not that tough

Mind drifting to starship travel
and rushing through hyperspace
Suspended like dew among the stars
is preferable to this place

I won't see money till mid-June
and no severance so I'm oh so broke
Hold on for one moment
on my phlegm I just did choke

Heraled website with lots of jobs
just returns a four oh four
Pounding harder on the keys
is helping me no more

Fighting another bout with vertigo
ongoing issue that plagues my health
While my pocketbook's so empty
Of sadness there is great wealth

Can't even think of the great leap
'cause too many count on me
Life is doomed, that much I know
into eternity

Life ebbs and flows like the tides for all of us. I sincerely hope things start looking better for you soon and your health improves.

OMG Jaycee!!! I am you and you are me!!! JK But anyway, another great write that I can relate to. Was unemployed for 16 mos and it seemed it would never end. Still not out of the woods yet but at least I am working now. I pray to God that things are going better for you. Take care and God bless.

aww... i rilly like this one. but life is not doomed, you should take your own advice. theres always hope, no matter how desperate a situation, there is still hope there. hidden, perhaps, you have to take the time to find the hope that lies within. but it is there.
hugs,
jennie*
