My sin is to wake up
So let me sleep endlessly today

And why I fell in love with you
It seems a plan of God
I doubt I planned it
And the rest I plain forgot

It seems that loving you is wrong
Let me escape my way from you
For endless nights
The clock has marked its 3 a.m.

What you called a delicate flower
I pierced the heart of one
It’s you, my love which pierced
And shields which you brought up

My sin, it is my sin
To love you like I do
Because it gets us nowhere
And I’ve surrendered to this endless love
Forever forced to pay this due

Yet some fight is left in me
To be just who I am
But to you I seem a blur
Far from you
To where no one can give a damn

Stand in a different light
I doubt your walls will be closed in
Close your mind to learn
And open your heart to breathe

So God for you did bring me love
But in this world it’s a mistake
So sin not with my love
But with the world’s cold wish
And put an end to this sin’s love
Though it’s not soon to finish

It’s as if when morning comes
My sin is to wake up
So let me sleep endlessly today
