Array ( [sid] => 92074 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Memory of You [time] => 2005-04-24 01:24:00 [hometext] => We are all cursed by our memories, doomed to remember that which we oft want most to forget. But it is a sweet moment to dip into the well of memories sometimes and relive those times, both the bitter and the sweet. [bodytext] => Ever would I remember
the times of we together
though it's better to forget
your memory holds me back.

Long have I suffered
in dreams I often whispered
but it lives within memory
our piece of love's history.

Looking always for a reason
to forget all the seasons
but still I do remember
the times of we together.

You were my first and still the one
oh how I wish for it then
though I have ever since moved on
my heart still often sings your song.

Now and then, forever on
my heart is no longer only my own
for a piece of me has gone astray
along with you as you went away.

Ever still I will remember
all the times of we together
to whatever fate that I am due
I bring always the memory of you. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 247 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Baronhawk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

That's a great poem. My first bf I didn't really like that much though, but my 5th bf felt like my first... the way he treated me so well. I still remember him, all the memories of the fun times together. I wanted him back, but he wouldn't give me another chance. It's life though :'( Jenny

Dear Baronhawk,
Ah dear friend, you are so romantic, and linger sadly in the past. Ah dear friend, have we not all felt the words of your lovely rhyme?
Years be gone, and we move on, but still somehow our memory of someone, someplace lingers on!
Exceptional for me friend, because to this I can relate. You are a marvelous poet Baronhawk....................fly high, fly straight, soar to the sky,
Always so happy to read your poems, you write like no other.
And thank you for all your lovely and loving comments on my poems! When you are 68 you too can look back and see what has disappeared, but best not for you and me. The past is for remembering, many times too sadly. We have control, best move forward, to reward our soul.
Warm Love
