Slash open scars yet once again,
Let me bleed, let me burn,
I've run my race, it's now your turn

Scars can fade, but words will stay,
Trapped in a place I can't wish away,
But now I'm strong, and now I'll fight,
No tears shall fall from me tonight

I tried to try, but I'd always fall,
Never good enough for you at all,
Now listen up close, I've found my voice,
Stand back now, you have no choice

Lemon is bitter, revenge is sweet,
Hurt me again and the end you'll meet,
No longer am I that little girl lost,
I'm growing up fast, and I paid my cost

So you wish I'd leave and never come back,
Answer me this, what was is it I lack,
I try to try, is that not enough,
Trust me now, I've had it rough

But no longer shall I ever feel pain,
Tears will no longer be lost in rain,
I'm warning you now, I shall repeat,
Lemon is bitter, but revenge is sweet. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 65 [informant] => Eclipse [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

Good attempt and expression.
but Revenge is bitterness itself.

Love it!! You expressed yourself very well in this write, and kept a good flow with a solid rhyme scheme...You draw the reader in with the opening line, and keep their interest throughout...and then deliver that final blow at the end! Keep it up...this reminds me of some of my older writes with regards to emotions, and the style it was written in. I enjoyed this: )
