since you've been gone
my "first times" for everything
your stuff on the lawn
the look on her face
when you sent her the letters
and the tears that came streaming down
as she sat there and read them

You missed alot
since you've been gone
the first man she brought home
his name it was Bill,
she went on dates
and came back oh so ill
the docters note,
the new medicine cabinet...

You missed alot
since you've been gone
the great morning sickness
(I lessen I'll hate)
the stages of life
as they showed on her face
the trip to the hospital
in the dead of night...

You missed alot
since you've been gone
the time that we ran through the emergency door
the paon in the room
the screaming "NO MORE!"
but then the still air
when the baby first cried...

You missed alot
since you've been gone
the pictures of us
on our day on the bus
where we bought some new clothing
for this stage in our life
The portrait we took, where I stood next to mom
filling the gap, that'd been empty so long

You missed alot
since you've been gone
and now that you say "It was a mistake"
when you ran off with that little slut, little fake
you left us so burdened, yet empty somwhow
we filled in your absence, made do for now
but you cannot return
You's just screw us up
so go home and be happy
but dont wish you the best
