Array ( [sid] => 8935 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => a painting [time] => 2002-12-20 15:00:00 [hometext] => this is how i feel at the moment.. read it and laugh.... [bodytext] => question marks upon my skin
becokoning razor to enter in
the razor does, and with delight;
the blood shines through-what a sight!

crimson splatter on off-white tile
the pain,the pleasure, i sceam, i smile
the blood escapes-a whisper, untold-
my skin, a canvas-the pain i hold

the painting, not pretty-nor the painter,nor muse,
the production is subject to internal abuse.
the painting, an opus, a work of art
is abstract, evil, from a black heart.

but i scream, escape, cut, and cry,
viewing this painting helps me to die
i have no purpose, i struggle through pain
to enduce me to live, or die again

so we analyse this painting, critique and view
this absurdity, and struggle-how can this be true?
despised, repulsed, as they analyse
cerise and crimson, they stare through my eyes

and i hang there, alone
naked and exposed
as Goy's work is displayed
and my canvas is flayed. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 208 [topic] => 36 [informant] => ashleigh4 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

this poem brings back memories...this is truly what you call a great write...I understand what you are going through and your feelings are expressed in this poem so stongly. I hope that you will soon realize that we all have a purpose in life and that you don't need to inflict pain amongst yourself...other people bring you enough pain to deal with
