Array ( [sid] => 8896 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => When The Day Sleeps [time] => 2002-12-19 18:40:00 [hometext] => I'll do the oddest things to find my some kind of inspiration for poetry. I came up with the idea for this one while looking out my bedroom window at a sunset. A thought came to me. Wouldn't it be interesting to compare both day and night as having personalities? If they did, surely they'd have something to say to one another.

I guess it didn't hurt that I was listening to Moonlight Sonata; the epitome of inspiration in my books. [bodytext] => In life's shadow
Night time walks
Across daylight's meadow
And in hunger stalks
Sun-born enemies
Without malice
It simply remedies
Each day's calous
Beginning and end
Each day does depend
On blissful rest
And retires well dressed
In soothing color
With painted sunset
She yawns and lulls her
Self to sleep beset
With dreamy stars
And brightly lit cars

Daytime grins
With twilight horizon
And yawns when night begins
We peer at skies on
the startling notion
That night shows emotion
Seen in each day's dreams
In subconcious streams
