To my soul all my despair clings,
Digging its claws in drawing blood,
Dropping me to the ground do you hear the thud?

I once was beautiful & full of grace,
Floating with love in its heavenly place,
But now I lay dying in the pits of depression,
On my heart hurt has left such an impression.

Sometimes I am too weak to even cry,
So I just sit & let out a deep sigh,
One that goes unheard, falling upon deaf ears,
The pain of loneliness is behind my un-fallen tears.

To get to my feet is all I can manage,
As this little angel has suffered too much damage,
Behind my smiles are years of buried despair,
But nobody ever sees what’s behind my empty stare.

I am an actress who hides her hurt well,
Suffering in silence battling with her hell,
If ever anyone asks weather I’m alright,
I nod my head in the day & fall apart at night.

I have long fallen into the devils trap,
Upon my battered soul he wraps,
Pushing & tempting me with my own death,
Trying to rid me of my final breath.

I loved this Pix. As usual another beautiful heartfelt write. I can really relate to this Stanza.

I am an actress who hides her hurt well,
Suffering in silence battling with her hell,
If ever anyone asks weather I’m alright,
I nod my head in the day & fall apart at night.

Thats usally an everyday routine for me.

Again i loved this. Great job.

Krissie u have portrayed this poem very well.
The image u cast in the readers mind is that of lost pure innocence. A sad, but outstanding piece of poetry. Well done.
Hugs,
Sue

This was so beautiful Pixie and so very sad. One day your wings will heal. The mist will clear and lift the dark clouds.

Love Angelxxxxxx
