Array ( [sid] => 87883 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Song of Love [time] => 2005-03-18 13:50:19 [hometext] => A girl loves a man so much she would give up everything. (not inculded in the poem) then hears him loveing her best friend. Seeing no way out she hangs herself from a broken heart and soul. [bodytext] => Singing in my heart day and night.
It makes my heart leap into the sky.
This sweet song that sings to me.
"Love is the greatest thing.
Don’t move it away.
Enjoy it while lasts."
This melody rings inside my soul.
Every time we go out I feel like my whole being in flying high.
Your smile is like the sweet nectar of the lotus plant.
I can’t get enough.
"Love is the greatest thing.
Don’t move it away.
Enjoy it while it lasts."
Walking down to your house I nearly scream in the extensity of my happiness.
I see you sitting on the balcony.
Like a wishing star I wish I could be with you forever.
I hear you laugh, such a sweet silver bell sound.
I do not know what you laugh at.
I sneak up to surprise you.
"She is such a retard.
She doesn’t even see that I'm in love with you."
I heard you.
Every word stung deep into my heart and soul.
The song of my love faded like the glowing sunset.
"Love is the greatest thing.
Don’t move it away.
Enjoy it while it lasts."
That song shattered shards of glass.
My very soul broke as my heart did.
I walk out and look at you.
A mixture of sadness, hatred, and pain and rolled into one singular emotion.
I didn’t understand how you love her.
After all she is my best friend.
How could you two betray me like this?
How could you cut out my heart and drain out my blood and soul?
“Oh hey sweetheart.
We were just waiting for you.
So let’s go to the movies.”
You put you’re hands on my shoulders.
What used to thrill me now burned me.
I shook my head and screamed.
You looked at me with those used to be dazzling eyes.
My best friend in the whole world looked as well.
I screamed until my lungs gave out.
“What the hecks your problem?
Why are you screaming?
What happened?”
You ask with all of that fake caring I could have thrown your words away and let you take me in your arms.
But I knew now.
Everything I knew about you was a lie.
Everything I knew about my friend was a lie.
My head was about to burst.
I screamed again.
Police came by and asked me if I was hurt.
I said yes.
I said he hurt me in the worst possible way.
He tore out my heart.
He drained my soul out.
The only person I thought who would understand me.
You Killed me.
You killed my very being and soul.
Nothing but a soulless person I take out the rope.
Loping it around my neck I throw myself down.
In a quick moment it’s all over.
After all love is the greatest thing, when used as a weapon.
