[bodytext] => Upon the battlefield of ‘Me’ life’s armies there have fought, their wars I’ve worn, their burdens born… yet victors of me? Naught! Footnote: Between 1980 and 1985 my life hung on by a frail thin thread,I almost did not make it then. I think I can truthfully write 'I was in hell and I got out.' I have to now add , that only God saved me and never deserted this battlefield. The freedom and happiness I am now blessed with is all thanks to God's love. How could I not add this footnote at the end of such a proud poem,I owe him that much at least. I love you all....thanks for reading my work. Merry Christmas.
