Only by the clothes I wear,
The way I speak,
These eyes that have seen such impurity…
You think you have me figured…

You
Don’t
Know
Me…

A silent shadow,
Lurking in every corner,
A figment of your peripheral vision…

I am just another worthless walking corpse,
Compared to your mighty status…
My purpose for living was only to wish for my death,
And spread my plague of misery…
These are your thoughts of me,
Your egotistical views of the “Typical Goth…”

You
Don’t
Know
Me…

I am a poet,
An actual human being with the capability of feeling,
An individual with a mind…
Yes, we Goths are of the same species as you,
Though you may think we are demons disguised as every-day humans…
Ah, such cynicism…
But, do I not have the right to be?
You strip me of all the dignity that I have left,
And you expect me to stay quiet and endure?

You
Don’t
Know
Me…

You say ‘insane’ as if it were a bad thing…
Insanity is not only a disorder…
It is Brilliance…
You call me “Freak” because of my ebony and otherworldly attire,
When you have yet to discover the goddess within…

You, egotistical fool, who yearns for the power of royalty and a perfect outer image,
When the most important quality,
Is what dwells inside…

Keep dreaming of your evitable tyranny,
Mask your flaws with makeup and hoax,
For in the end… you’re just a lie…
You think you got me figured…

You
Don’t
Know
Me…

This is the flower unleashed !!!

"...When the most important quality,
Is what dwells inside…"

My opinion ... the most important lines in the write ... followed right behind by ...

" I am a poet "

Yes you are Stephy, yes ... you are.

Nazzy ~
