I find that I am noticeably a new person
Someone with a distinct difference from the previous day
Before it was once every month I noticed
And before that it was once every year
Now the changes come faster and faster
Bringing with it new thoughts and new ideas
Bringing things more into view, more into perspective
But what it is that I will eventually become I cannot even guess
But for now I find myself only able to wait for it,
I can’t seem to get up and go for it
Its always been a constant flow, an evolution of sorts
When I first started looking back at the things that I had done
Things that I had written Years earlier,
They seemed stupid to me,
They seemed to be missing something
Maybe just barely hidden from view, but still not there
Did I lack the right experiences,
The right knowledge, the right words?
But now when I look back at the things that I did only yesterday
I feel the same exact way about it
Man, how stupid I was yesterday and the day before
How stupid will I think I am now, tomorrow?
So goodnight everyone, say goodbye to me now
Because tomorrow this Mike will be gone,
And a new one will emerge from a world of dreams
With new eyes, and with a new mind
And undoubtedly he will regret writing these words [comments] => 1 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Onslaught [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Ok, hold on. No regrets here. You must hold on to this thought. It is refreshing to gain insight to one's mind. Powerful when put into words. A poem with passion. This is what I like. Keep on writing because your poem was insightful.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
