Array ( [sid] => 8642 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Meaning of the afterlife [time] => 2002-12-16 04:40:00 [hometext] => this was something that i wrote one night when i couldnt sleep and was just thinking about how much coffee i had consumed when trying to revise for my pshychology final. This poem was the outcome of my thinking... [bodytext] => Worn shoes tread the path I fear. A desolate
chime of a far off clock ticks down the seconds....
Empty graves waiting to be filled by bodies that don't even exist.
Cold world shuts out the hurt that people cause to each other.
Couples with linked arms, glazed looks in their eyes
Walking upon sun scorched earth, to the light that the disillusionment causes them to believe in.
Nothingness consumes our everyday lives,
Hopelessly falling into a way we think we should be, the life that conformity has hand picked for each person.
Not wanting to be who we all have become.
Perhaps the empty graves are for the souls of people that cannot preserve them.
Lost should forever in another life
just yesterday’s dreams to keep us all going till the last grain of sand drops..........
